It must have been the bunny!

This was the first year that Jacob was really into the Easter Bunny.  (Penelope, at 19 months, really didn’t get it yet)  Jacob got up in the morning and insisted he was thirsty.  I told him to go get Grandma up and she would get him a drink (grandparents visiting for the holiday) and on his way he found the unmistakable path of eggs.  He froze in his steps, studied the scene, then asked us if we had put eggs on the stairway.  (At age 4, where do they come up with this stuff?!)  When we were shocked at what he had found, he instantly knew it MUST have been the bunny.  All of a sudden, his sleepy eyes woke up and made sure we were ALL awake.  The bunny left a path of eggs at our house that led straight to Easter baskets!  Now, if you know Jacob, you know that he collects coins.  Not fancy coins, just “monies” for his piggy bank.  Amazingly, the eggs leading to his basket were filled with coins.  So, what do you think he spent his time on?  Opening each and every little egg that had money in it.  We almost had to convince him to open his basket!  But, he made sure to tell us that “I’m really lucky!” and was thrilled that the bunny had visited!  Oh what a wonderful weekend!  Pictures to follow shortly!
